6 PM CANDYLAND hosted by Breath of Life Ministries. Come for a full night of fun and candy where your child can take part in a costume contest for best costume. This event will be held at two locations with one being 4185 Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown and 4808 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, Everyone welcome.

NOVEMBER 1

10 AM- 3 PM FESTIVAL OF TREES event by College Square Mall and ALPS Adult Day Services. We are challenging businesses, churches, and communities to get involved by donating a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Every tree will be auctioned off with benefits going directly to ALPS. There will be a hot cocoa bar, ornament making station, live performances with Christmas music, and a magical selfie station. Tree drop-off will take place at ALPS from October 27-31.

10 AM – 5 PM RENAISSANCE FALL FAIRE will be held at the new location of Appalachian Renaissance Faire, 722 East Dumpling Valley Road in Kodak. The event will feature music on three stages, vendor village, character interactions, full contact jousting and historical demonstrations.

10 AM – 3 PM SAM CHUMLEY CERAMICS WORKSHOP will be held at Walters State Community College, in Room 137 of the Inman Humanities Complex on the Morristown campus. The workshop will be a “watch and learn” experience, with a focus on ceramic surface treatments. There is no charge to attend.

2 PM ARTIST TALK featuring Annie Rochelle will be held at Walters State Community College in the Catron Gallery of the R. Jack Fishman Library on the Morristown campus. Rochelle will talk about her work, including the gallery’s current exhibit, “In Limerence.” There is no charge to attend.

6:30 PM LUNADA: A NIGHT FOR HOLA will be hosted by HOLA Lakeway in Morristown, featuring guest speaker, Jose Carlos Lopez – creator of VAMOSVOLS and the first ever Spanish broadcaster for the University of Tennessee. FESTIVAL OF TREES AND CHOCOLATE FANTASY will be held by West End Baptist Church in Newport. Admission is $10 ages 6 and up and a box of chocolates is $25. Enjoy Christmas pictures, Christmas tree/decoration auction, raffle items, homemade chocolates and cash and carry items.

6 PM VETERANS THANKSGIVING DINNER held by Synergy HomeCare of Knoxville-Morristown. 8 AM STEPPING OUT TURKEY TROT 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk will be held at the Morristown Regional Airport. To guarantee a race T-shirt, participants must register no later than noon Nov. 12. Event will take place rain, shine or cold temperatures. Event parking at Alpha Baptist Church. Pre-race prices are $27.75 per runner/walker before August 30. Sleeping But Supporting donations for $27.75 are also available.

NOON WHITE PINE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION & TOWN PARADE will be hosted by White Pine Parks and Recreation. The event begins at the White Pine Library, featuring a Christmas Village with Santa Clause and activities for kids – followed by the annual Christmas Parade. After the parade the movie, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” starring Jim Carrey, will be shown at Legion Park with hot chocolate and coffee.

11 AM – 1 PM CHARACTERS, CARTOONS AND CHEER will be hosted by East Tennessee PBS at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville. A sensory-reduced experience will be held from 10:30-11 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
